VOLTA DO LAGO CAIXA ARRIVES AT THE 14TH EDITION

One of the greatest relay race in Brasil will be held on June 4th in Brasilia. The traditional ultramarathon pass through the most important post cards of Brasilia along the race day.

Open season to prepare for the most anticipate relay ultramarathon of the year. Professional and amateur runners all around Brasil can begin planning and practice routine to run VOLTA DO LAGO CAIXA 2017. The 14ª edition of the race, which is marked by the interaction of all athletes, it is scheduled to happen on Sunday, June 4, in Brasilia.

Reference all over the country, the VOLTA DO LAGO CAIXA – event sponsored by CAIXA ECONÔMICA FEDERAL – consists an odd opportunity to know the capital and its most important postcards, running in direct contact with nature, passing through six parks and Paranoa Lake. Registrations are now open and can be made by the site www.voltadolagocaixa.com.br .

It is possible to participate the race individually, on the 100km and 60km ultramarathon category, or in 100km relay teams, modality that cross 14 stretches – distances varies between 3 and 11 km -, in teams of 2,3,4,6 and 8 members.

By 2017, the organization of VOLTA DO LAGO CAIXA aim to surpass the participating public of last edition, bringing to Brasilia more than 3500 people. The ride bike category, a bet of 2016 edition continues with everything this year, becoming a democratic competition and sustainable, by reducing the cars on the streets. The tip of the idealizer of the sporting event, Antonio Junior, is about planning to complete the 100km. "To run the VOLTA DO LAGO CAIXA the athlete has to draw strategies, because the evidence has technical characteristics very peculiar," he said.

By the regulations of the race, the team that complete the race in less time, regardless of the number of participants, shall be the champion. The time limit for the teams with 2,3,4,6 and 8 participants are 10 hours, for the 100km ultramarathon athletes are 11 hours and for the 60km ultramarathon athletes are 7 hours, with closing time of arrival at 17 hours.

At this edition, there will be R$40000,00 in prize money. The general champions relay team will reaceiv an award in the value of R$2.200,00 (Champion Team), R$ 1.600,00 (Second Place) and R$1.100,00 (Third Place). The ultramarathon athletes will receive an award of R$ 5000,00, R$ 3000,00 and R$ 2000,00, male and female, respectively. The 60km ultramarathons will have a prize of R$ R$ 1,200.00, R$ 700,00 and R$ 500,00, male and female, respectively. Be sides that, the ultramarathon athlete that complete the race will receive a medal in the case, as prize – A decorative item that recalls the overcoming of running a race with 100km. The champions relay teams of the categories will be exempted of the registration fee in the next edition.

2 – The registration period will be separated in shares as down:

- RELAY TEAMS:

  • 1º Lot: From February 20 to March 31st of 2017–Value: R$ 95,00 by athlete.
  • 2º Lot: From April 1st to May 7 of 2017 - Value R$ 105,00 by athlete.
  • 3º Lot: From May 8 to May 28 of 2017 - Value R$ 135,00 by athlete.

 - RIDE BIKE RELAY:

  • 1º Lot: From February 20 to March 31st of 2017–Value: R$ 85,00 by athlete.
  • 2º Lot: From April 1st to May 7 of 2017 - Value R$ 95,00 by athlete.
  • 3º Lot: From May 8 to May 28 of 2017 - Value R$ 125,00 by athlete.

ULTRAMARATONA INDIVIDUAL 60K:

  • Single lot: From February 20 to May 28 of 2017 – Value R$ 355,00 by athlete.

 

- ULTRAMARATONA INDIVIDUAL 100K:

  • Single lot: From February 20 to May 29 of 2017 – Value R$ 505,00 by athlete.
